Morgan Griffith, a graduate of Lenape High School, has been awarded the Betty Albrecht Scholarship from The Jersey Sound Chorus of Sweet Adelines International.
The award is given to a graduating senior girl who is going to pursue a career in singing. Griffith will be attending Oberlin College and Observatory majoring in foreign language and vocal performance.
The Jersey Sound Chorus established the Betty Albrecht Memorial Scholarship in 1999. It is in honor of our dear friend and director, Betty Albrecht. Every year a sum of money is donated to a talented female high school graduate in the Tri-State area who plans to major in vocal music.
