Multiple burglary reports led Mt. Laurel Police Blotter this week

The following information was provided by the Mt. Laurel Police Department.

An employee of Viking Sewing Machines on Centerton Road reported the theft of three sewing machines, valued at $900. The incident occurred between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. Nov. 25.

A resident of the unit block of Wembley Drive reported their residence was burglarized on Nov. 26 between 4 a.m. and 3:28 p.m. Entry was gained by forcing open a second story window. A safe and contents, valued at approximately $200, was taken. Damage to the window is estimated at $500.

Mt. Laurel Police arrested a 24-year-old man of the 5000 block of North 115th Street, Longmont, Colo. on Nov. 27 for driving while intoxicated. He was stopped on Route 73 near Clover Road at 2:29 a.m. and charged with driving while intoxicated and released pending a municipal court hearing.

A resident of the 300 block of Hastings Way reported a credit card fraud. The victim reported a lost credit card was used to make over $300 in fraudulent purchases at various locations between Nov. 25 and 27.

An employee of the Creek Road Pet Grooming Studio on Creek Road reported someone burglarized the business between 6 p.m. Nov. 27 and 11 a.m. Nov. 28. Entry was gained by forcing a rear door open. An empty cash register, valued at $200, was taken. Damage was estimated at $45.

On Nov. 12, Mt. Laurel Police received a report of a burglary to a residence on the unit block of Alderton Way. Several electronic devices valued at approximately $2,500 were stolen. As a result of the investigation two suspects were arrested.

An 18-year-old man from Mt. Laurel was arrested on Mitten Lane on Nov. 15 at 1:10 p.m. He was charged with receiving stolen property, possession of a controlled dangerous substance with the intent to distribute, and possession of marijuana under 50 grams. His bail was set at $16,000 and he was committed to the Burlington County Jail. Another 18-year-old man from Mt. Laurel was arrested on Nov. 28 at 6:45 p.m. on Mitten Lane. He was charged with receiving stolen property. His bail was set at $2,500 and he was committed to the Burlington County Jail.

Mt. Laurel Police arrested a 45-year-old man, of the unit block of East Germantown Road, Maple Shade, on Nov. 28 for driving while intoxicated. He was stopped on Rogers Walk near Route 73 at 11:16 p.m. and charged with driving while intoxicated. He was released pending a municipal court hearing.

A patron of the Funplex on Route 38 reported an iPhone and cash, valued at $550, were taken from an unattended purse. The incident occurred between 4:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m., Nov. 28.

A patron of the Centerton Road Shopping Center reported that the trunk and rear bumper of their vehicle were scratched and dented between 8:50 and 9:05 a.m., Nov. 29. Damage is estimated at $500.

A member of LA Fitness on Dearborn Circle reported a debit card and cash, valued at $60, were taken from a coat hung on the coat rack in the men’s locker room. The incident occurred between 1 and 1:51 p.m. on Nov. 29.

A member of LA Fitness on Dearborn Circle reported a North Face jacket, valued at $150, was taken from the coat rack in the men’s locker room. The incident occurred between 1 and 1:51 p.m. on Nov. 29.

Mt. Laurel Police arrested a 34-year-old man of the 800 block of Trenton Road, Langhorne, Penn., on Nov. 30 for being a disorderly person at the Hotel ML on Route 73. The incident occurred at 1:20 a.m. at the hotel bar. He was served with criminal complaints and released pending a municipal court hearing.

A resident of the unit block of Wendover Drive reported their residence was burglarized on Nov. 29 between 6 and 7:30 p.m. Entry was gained by through an unlocked front door. Jewelry, valued at approximately $8,000, was taken.

An employee of Laurel Liquors on Route 38 reported a shoplifting. The incident occurred on Nov. 29 between 8:13 and 8:41 p.m. A bottle of liquor, valued at approximately $100, was taken by an unknown suspect. The subject had left the area prior to police arrival.

Mt. Laurel Police arrested a 34-year-old Mt. Laurel man on Dec. 1 for hindering his own apprehension. Subsequent to a motor vehicle stop on Oregon Avenue at 11:36 a.m., the man provided a false name to police in an effort to avoid arrest on outstanding warrants. He was charged with hindering his own apprehension for outstanding warrants and lodged at the Burlington County Jail in lieu of $1,289 bail for the outstanding warrants.

Mt. Laurel Police arrested a 26-year-old man from Mt. Laurel, on Dec. 1 at 2:35 p.m. during a motor vehicle stop on Route 73 in the area of Rogers Walk. He was wanted by West Orange Police for theft. After he was arrested, he was found to be in possession of a hypodermic needle. He was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and turned over to West Orange Police.

A resident of the 200 block of Ramblewood Parkway reported all four wheels and tires, valued at approximately $1,000, were stolen from a vehicle that was parked in their driveway. The theft occurred between 11:30 p.m., Nov. 30 and 2:20 a.m., Dec. 1,

A resident of the 1000 block of Crofton Court reported an air stem was pulled from a tire on their vehicle causing approximately $200 in damage. The incident occurred between 10:15 p.m. Nov. 30 and 8:18 a.m. Dec. 1.

Mt. Laurel Police arrested a 39-year-old man from Newark, Del. at 12:15 p.m. on Dec. 2 for shoplifting $815.76 in merchandise from Wegmans on Centerton Road. The man also provided a false name to police during the investigation. He was charged with shoplifting and hindering his own apprehension. He was committed to the Burlington County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail.

Mt. Laurel Police arrested a 30-year-old man from Gibbsboro on Dec. 3 for theft. He was charged with the theft of medication from a medical facility on the 100 block of Gaither Drive on Nov. 24. He was served with criminal complaints at the Camden County Jail where he is presently incarcerated on unrelated charges.

Mt. Laurel Police arrested an 18-year-old man from Pemberton on Dec. 3 at 3:29 p.m. during a motor vehicle stop on Route 73 near the New Jersey Turnpike. He provided a false identity to police in an attempt to avoid arrest on an outstanding warrant. He was charged with hindering and released pending a court hearing.

A member of the Mt. Laurel Township Baseball Association reported a burglary and criminal mischief to the concession building at Laurel Acres Park. The incident occurred between Dec. 2 and Dec. 4. Entry was gained by climbing a ladder and breaking a second story window to the concession building. Nothing was reported missing. Damage is estimated at $300.

Two residents of the unit block of Amelia Court reported two men stole outgoing mail from their mailboxes on Dec. 4 at 12:40 p.m. Both victims said they had placed letters containing checks in their mailboxes, intending them to be picked up by the mail carrier. The suspects removed the letters and placed Walmart catalogs in the mailboxes. Witnesses said the suspects were driving a white four door sedan bearing Pennsylvania registration.

A resident of the 700 block of Cornwallis Drive reported their residence was burglarized on Dec. 4 between 11:30 a.m. and 10 p.m. Entry was gained through an unlocked a first floor window. Jewelry, valued at approximately $500, was taken.
