Lumberton woman dies from injuries sustained in crash on eastbound lanes of Route 38 in Mt. Laurel

Police say Latasha M. Grant, age 43, of Lumberton, died on Jan. 25.

The following report is on file with the Mt. Laurel Police Department:

At 7:55 p.m. on Jan. 22, Mt. Laurel Police responded to Route 38 eastbound at Union Mill Road for the report of a motor vehicle crash.

Police say the investigation revealed that a vehicle driven by Latasha M. Grant, age 43, of Lumberton, was traveling east on Union Mill Road approaching Route 38.

After passing Danebridge Drive, her vehicle left the roadway to the right, traveled through a grassy area and vaulted a small hill. According to police, her vehicle entered the eastbound lanes of Route 38 and struck the concrete median barrier, coming to rest in the roadway.

Police say the vehicle was then struck by two other vehicles travelling on Route 38 eastbound.

Grant was transported to Cooper Hospital in critical condition. Police say Grant died as a result of injuries sustained in the crash on Jan. 25.

According to police, the other drivers were not injured.

Police say it has not been determined why Grant’s vehicle ran off of the roadway.

The crash remains under investigation by the Mt. Laurel Police Traffic Bureau.
