The program is now available at ShopRite of Mt. Laurel and ShopRite of Union Mill Road in Mt. Laurel.
ShopRite has announced that it has expanded the “free fruit” program it launched earlier this year to now include additional stores located in Burlington County and Camden County, New Jersey.
Under the program, kids 12 and younger receive a free fruit while shopping with a parent or guardian. The fruits are located in the produce aisle, and the program is overseen by the supermarket’s team of in-store dietitians.
According to ShopRite officials, the program is part of ShopRite’s ongoing methods of providing health and wellness offerings to customers.
“We’re proud to launch the free fruit program in our stores,” said Brett Ravitz, vice president of merchandising at Ravitz Family Markets, which owns and operates five ShopRite stores in southern New Jersey. “ShopRite is deeply committed to the belief that good eating habits can be taught at any age, and we’re thrilled to find new and fun ways to educate and inspire our customers and their families about the importance of good nutrition.”
Currently, more 40 ShopRite stores are participating in the free fruit program. The expanded free fruit program is now available at: ShopRite of Marlton, ShopRite of Mt. Laurel, ShopRite of Union Mill Road in Mt. Laurel, ShopRite of Evesham Road in Cherry Hill and ShopRite of Garden State Pavilion in Cherry Hill.
