Students have until June 2 to apply for the Joseph Laufer College Scholarship Awards that recognize student community service.
High school students in Burlington County now have until June 2 to apply for the 2017 Joseph Laufer College Scholarship Awards through the Volunteer Center of Burlington County.
The scholarship awards recognize outstanding student community service for those young Burlington County residents attending high school as seniors who are ready to graduate from school this year.
Those applying must meet the following criteria:
– Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to community service, leadership and academic achievement (in order of priority).
– Applicants must be recommended by one school official and one non-school community leader.
– Applicants must provide letters of recommendation from the school official and non school community leader.
– Applicant must provide an academic transcript
Scholarships are supported by The Haines Family Foundation, The Laufer Family, and the Volunteer Center of Burlington County.
The Volunteer Center will be awarding two $7,500 scholarship awards and three $5,000 scholarship awards.
