The New Jersey Association of Women Business Owners (NJAWBO) is hosting its “NJAWBO Statewide Oceanfront Luncheon Conference and Expo at the Jersey Shore,” which will take place on Sept. 14 at Rooney’s Oceanfront Restaurant, Long Branch, from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
The focus for this conference is “Exploring Passion, Leadership, Inspiration, and Business Success.” The event will feature two speakers, “Table Talk” brainstorming, an expo area, view of the Atlantic Ocean, buffet lunch and networking.
The conference speakers are Donna Miller, founder and president of C3Workplace of Montclair and Sparta, and Stacy Petti, owner of Teacher’s Recipe Gourmet Fudge, of Lakehurst.
In Miller’s presentation, “How to Build a Company that Runs without You — From Entrepreneur to CEO to Visionary,” she will share her story and passion of how she’s grown her organization from a “part-time gig” to a respected company and small business resource that runs itself while she enjoys work-life integration and builds a legacy.
Petti’s talk, “From Sweet Success to Future Women Leaders,” will focus on key factors that shaped her candy business and the decisions that made it super successful. She’ll also paint a picture of how her experience as a Girl Scout Troop Leader and transition into a management position with the Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore have shaped her life, the lives of Girl Scouts, and an even more successful business as she comes full circle back to her business.
