Mt. Laurel Township is once again gearing up for the fall season with a wide array of events to keep residents entertained as the air begins to cool and the leaves begin toĀ fall.

For those looking to get an early start on the fun that day, the townshipā€™s annual 5K/Walk will begin at 8:30 a.m., with the annual childrenā€™s ā€œFun Runā€ to begin an hour later at 9:30Ā a.m.

For the 5K/Walk, the course will once again take participants through an asphalt path, dirt road, grassy terrain and nature trail all within the boundaries of LaurelĀ Acres.

Registration costs are set at $20 for those who register before the day of the event and $25 for those who register on the morning of the 5K Run/Walk.

A trophy will be presented to the top male and female finisher of the 5K, with medals also available to the top three males and female finishers for each ageĀ group.

Township officials say an estimated 20,000 people annually attend the event, which is once again set to feature food, crafts, rides, a bounce house, vendors and other fun for allĀ ages.

The township will also once again have a stage set up at the event where attendees can watch various performances throughout the day from local bands, cheerleaders, dancers, singers, martial arts exhibitions andĀ more.

The Mt. Laurel Township Police Department will also be on hand once again to feature a demonstration of the departmentā€™s K-9Ā Unit.

ā€œWe have a whole lineup of performances all day long,ā€ township manager Meredith Tomczyk said. ā€œThe Lenape High School band and cheerleaders will be leading the opening ceremonies this year, and we also have a lot of new vendors. We really hope everybody in town can comeĀ out.ā€
