Mt. Laurel Schools Board of Education reviews 2016–2017 school year PARCC results
Students throughout Mt. Laurel schools once again, on average, scored equal to or above their peers in New Jersey who were meeting or exceeding expectations on last school year’s Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers test. The Mt. Laurel Board of Education reviewed results of the annual standardized test at this week’s meeting, which showed how the district’s students in grades three through eight compared to their peers in and out of New Jersey on the computerized English language arts and mathematics exams.
Mt. Laurel Schools BOE reviews Violence, Vandalism, Harassment, Intimidation and Bullying Report
The Mt. Laurel Schools Board of Education at its meeting this week reviewed the district’s Violence, Vandalism, Harassment, Intimidation and Bullying Report for the district’s most recent reporting period of Jan. 1 through June 30. Per state law, school districts are required twice each year to publicly report statistics on incidents of violence, vandalism, harassment, intimidation and bullying covering six-month periods from Jan. 1 through June 30 and from July 1 through Dec. 31.
Mt. Laurel Library thanks Friends of the Mt. Laurel Library for National Friends of Libraries Week
The Mt. Laurel Library offered “a big thank you” to the Friends of the Mt. Laurel Library during National Friends of Libraries Week. This year’s week runs from Oct. 15 through Oct. 21 and marks the 12th annual event. According to United for Libraries, a division of the American Library Association, the group is coordinating this year’s event and supports citizens who govern, promote, advocate and fundraise for libraries.
Masonville-Rancocas United Methodist Church to hold spaghetti dinner on Nov. 4
Masonville-Rancocas United Methodist Church, 200 Masonville Road, Mt. Laurel, will hold a spaghetti dinner on Saturday, Nov. 4, rom 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the church hall.All are welcome to the church for this event. Burlington County continues free flu clinics for county residents through fall and start of winter
Burlington County residents still have plenty of time to attend one of the county’s health department’s free flu vaccine clinics taking place at multiple locations this fall and winter. Adult residents can choose from any of the county’s 16 remaining clinics taking place now through Jan. 4. Parents and guardians are also invited to bring their children to one of the county’s four remaining clinics that will provide flu vaccinations for children in addition to adults.
