Winter Weather Advisory issued with snow in the forecast for Moorestown

The National Weather Service is projecting one to three inches of snow and gusty winds for the region Wednesday night through Thursday.

The National Weather Service of Philadelphia/Mt. Holly has issued a Winter Weather Advisory as Moorestown and much of South Jersey is bracing for a round of snow Wednesday night into Thursday. The advisory will be in effect from 9 p.m. Wednesday through 7 p.m. on Thursday.

The National Weather Service forecasted about one to three inches of snow for interior Southern New Jersey as of Wednesday morning. However, there could also be blowing snow with winds gusting as high as 45 miles per hour. Tree branches may fall and scattered power outages could occur Thursday and Friday, which could force hardship where heat is unavailable. There is expected to be slippery road conditions and areas of poor visibility, especially during the Thursday morning commute.

A Winter Weather Advisory is issued when periods of snow and blowing snow are expected to cause primarily travel difficulties. Residents should be prepared for snow covered roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.
