Moorestown Friends School held a ceremony to honor the students.
Moorestown Friends School’s Athletics Department held a ceremony on Thursday, April 12 for five student-athletes who have committed to continue their careers at the collegiate level.
Chloe Chen has committed to be a member of the women’s fencing team at New York University. Chen earned All-American, Honorable Mention from USA Fencing last year. This year, she won the NJSIAA District 2 Sabre Squad Championship, bronze in the state sabre squad championship and silver in the United Fencing Conference Championship.
Amanda Cooper will continue her field hockey career at Brown University. Cooper was a four-year varsity field hockey player, earned Friends Schools League first team all-star honors three years in a row and was named to the third team All-Non Public squad by NJ.com this Fall.
Carolyn Feigeles has committed to become a member of the Lafayette College Women’s fencing team. She earned All-American, Honorable Mention from USA Fencing and All Academic first team from USA Fencing last year. This year she, too, won the NJSIAA District 2 Sabre Squad Championship. Feigeles also captured a bronze medal in the state sabre squad championship and bronze in the United Fencing Conference Championship.
Erin Fennell will continue her field hockey career at Quinnipiac University. Fennell earned Friends Schools League first team honors three years in a row. This year, she was also selected to participate in the Philadelphia Field Hockey Senior All Star Game.
Charlotte Stern will become a member of the Widener University women’s basketball team. She was a Friends Schools League all-star for three years, a “Player in the Spotlight” her junior year in the Courier-Post, Philadelphia Inquirer and Burlington County Times, and she scored her 1,000 career point as a junior. For her career, Charlotte eclipsed the MFS career all-time three-point field goal record of 109 with a total of 130. Her 1,314 career points puts her second on the MFS all-time scoring list. She was named to the Al Carino Club’s South Jersey Senior All-Star game and was named All-Non Public third team.
