On July 7, cupcake lovers and bakers of all ages will come together for a very worthy cause and with one common goal in mind-to help raise funds and awareness for the Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis Foundation. Bakers will throw their oven mitts into the cupcake ring and go head to head to win the coveted Iron Cupcake crown. With the help of Kelly Rouba, Arthritis Spokeswoman and former Miss Wheelchair NJ, the group hopes to have a highly successful event filled with great food (hosted by the area’s now world-famous restaurant The Pop Shop in Collingswood), great fun (lots of prizes, raffle items, donations and giveaways) and a whole lot of “feeling good” knowing the proceeds from the event will help a very worthy organization indeed.
Kati’s Kupcakes of Moorestown will once again host this wonderful event for yet another deserving charity. Researchers are studying the causes of rheumatoid arthritis, juvenile arthritis, osteoarthritis, lupus and other autoimmune diseases to end the suffering of more than 46 million Americans — including 300,000 children — with arthritis but need your help. On July 7 at 6 p.m. the bakers who enter the contest will bring their finest “Candy” themed cupcakes to The Pop Shop to be presented before a slew of local “celebrity judges” and vie for the title of Iron Cupcake Champion. What makes this event so unique and wonderful is that all of the bakers enjoy being part of something bigger, something better-somehow knowing they are helping others.
Don’t forget your appetite — onlookers get free samples all of the cupcakes and also bid on the auction items.
