Santa Claus came to town a bit early this year to help the MOMS Club of Moorestown with a service project benefiting the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots program. Eric Stoner of Stone Gallery generously donated his time and materials to produce a “Pictures with Santa” event for MOMS Club members and guests at the Palmyra Moravian Church. Families who attended were able to enjoy a special visit with Santa and take home a photo of him with their children, complimentary with a toy donation. More than 75 toys were collected during the event to be distributed to children in need in Burlington and Camden counties in time for Christmas.
The MOMS Club of Moorestown is a support group for stay-at-home, work-from-home, and part-time working moms. This local chapter of the International MOMS Club serves not only Moorestown but also the surrounding areas of Cinnaminson, Delran, Palmyra, Riverside, and Riverton. MOMS Club members regularly meet up for play groups, outings to child-friendly locations, and at monthly meetings addressing different aspects of parenting.
