The July 4th Freedom Poster Contest Winners for 2018 have been announced. The theme for the 2018 4th of July Parade was Lady Liberty. Children from the Moorestown community were invited to create a poster with this theme in mind.

The Freedom Posters received reflected creativity and patriotic thinking.

The winners of this year’s contest were:

  • 1st Place: Clara Tyne Craven. Craven is 9-years-old and attends Baker Elementary School. Craven wrote her drawing is of the Statue of Liberty. The flag drawn on the poster shows that it was a gift from France to the United States. This statue is a symbol of liberty, justice and freedom, she said.
  • 2nd Place: Sofia A. Rubcich. Rubcich is 7-years-old and attends Baker Elementary School. She wrote the drawing is a portrait of a Lady who inspires liberty, justice and freedom for all.
  • 3rd Place: Khloe Cox. Cox is 8-years-old and attends Mary E. Roberts School.
  • Honorable Mention: Bella Lipski. Lipski is 7-years-old and attends Baker Elementary School.

The winners will ride in the front of the parade as special guests.

Residents can come see their fine art work on display in the Children’s Corner at the Moorestown Library.

The parade committee thanks all the participants for their entries and asks that they submit a poster in next year’s contest.
