Ergs for a new boat in Moorestown

There was no water, but South Jersey Rowing Club rowed its way on ergometers to raise money for a good cause.

The team held its first Ergathon on Saturday, March 31, at REI in Marlton.

As a team, they rowed a 200,000-kilometer relay. SJRC held this fundraiser in order to purchase an eight person rowing shell for competition. Boats typically cost about $35,000. Some 65 athletes from area high schools make up the club.
