Come out for a concert with the Moorestown Rec Department

The Moorestown Department of Parks and Recreation announces its annual summer concert series that will be held on Wednesday evenings with preview performances by local Moorestown groups beginning at 7 p.m. on the lawn at Perkins Center for the Arts, Camden Avenue and Kings Highway.

Concert time is 7:30 p.m.

All performances will have a rain date of the Thursday following the postponed concert.

Following are the groups that will be providing the music for the free concert performances. Bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on.

• Wednesday, June 27. An evening of musical entertainment presented by

MoorArts, featuring talented artists from the local community, including Moorestown High School alumni.

• Wednesday, July 11. The Jersey Boomers

• Wednesday, July 18. No concert.

• Wednesday, July 25. The Wind Symphony of Southern New Jersey. Light classics, pops, show tunes in full symphony sound.

• Wednesday, Aug. 1. The Barbone Street Jazz Band. New Orleans style Dixieland jazz at its finest.

• Wednesday, Aug. 8. Tri-County Symphonic Band. An enjoyable program of marches, big band, and light classics.
