The Moorestown Home and School Association will be holding its annual Turkey and Pie Drive on Monday, Nov. 25. A time-honored tradition, the drive provides more than 150 complete Thanksgiving meals to Moorestown families and charitable organizations.
Home and School, student and parent volunteers, along with guidance counselors, nurses, principals and teachers participate in the group effort of solicitation, collection, assembly and delivery of meal components. In addition to a turkey and pie, recipients are provided with all sorts of fixings for traditional side dishes and beverages.
Frozen turkeys or breasts (up to 15 pounds) and fresh pies will be collected at three locations: Maple Dawson Park (across from Baker school) from 7:30 to 11 a.m., WAMS from 8:30 to 11 a.m. and the UES, from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Please consider donating, as the need grows greater every year.
