Health service nonprofits to merge

The Lester A. Drenk Behavioral Health Center and The Union Association of the Children’s Home of Burlington County announce their intent to merge. The newly formed organization will be known as Legacy Treatment Services. The two organizations intend to merge within the next 90 days.

The merger will bring together two nonprofit organizations with a combined 200 years of service to youth, adults and families. Once finalized, Legacy Treatment Services will employ more than 700 individuals and will provide services thought New Jersey.

Roy Leitstein, executive director of The Children’s Home,

will serve as CEO of Legacy Treatment Solutions and Harry Marmorstein, CEO of The Drenk Center, will serve as CEO emeritus.

The Children’s Home is a private nonprofit organization dedicated to helping children and families. The agency provides residential treatment, individual and group therapy, special education, supported housing, substance abuse treatment, shelter services and in-home respite.

The Drenk Center is a private, non-profit organization that offers a full continuum of behavioral health services to more than 7,000 children, youth, adults and families annually.

Services include prevention programs, outpatient therapy and psychiatric services, substance abuse programs, emergency and crisis intervention, supportive housing, homeless outreach, therapeutic foster care, residential programs, and case management.
