Moorestown Community to Band to Play for Historical Society of Riverton

The Historical Society of Riverton and Riverview Estates will provide an entertaining musical evening in the Rose Garden at Riverview Estates on May 28. The setting sun on the Delaware River will be the scenic backdrop for an enjoyable evening. The concert by the Moorestown Community Band, conducted by L. Bruce Smith, will entertain with a variety of musical styles including pop, Broadway, march, patriotic, classical, and music from abroad that appeals to everyone.

Founded in 1991 for people who were out of school and wanted to continue to play their instruments, the Moorestown Community Band started with twelve members. Since that time the band has grown to fifty-five members of all ages. Conductor L. Bruce Smith was a band director for the Delran School System.

Join the Historical Society of Riverton and Riverview Estates for an evening of top-notch entertainment. Light refreshments will be available.
