The Moorestown Charitable Works club hosts its 7th annual flag football tournament Nov. 28

The Moorestown Charitable Works Club (MCWC) today announced it will hold its 7th annual charitable flag football tournament on Friday, Nov. 28 at Wesley Bishop Football Fields on Church Street in Moorestown. The event is rain or shine and starts at 11 a.m.

All proceeds go to The Boys & Girls Club of Camden County (BGCCC); an organization that serves over 3,000 children via a supervised, educational and social outlet for club members during the time of day when children are most at risk to become involved in dangerous activities.

“At Thanksgiving, we gather as a community family to host a fun flag football tournament to benefit Camden youth,” said Joe Ehrline, MCWC founder. “Fifty volunteers host the event with major pillar support from the Holman Automotive Group to ensure the tournament delivers financial resources to BGCCC for integral Camden youth programs.”

“This event gets bigger and better every year. It’s amazing to have so many people — kids and adults — come together for the club,” said Brandi Johnson, BGCCC associate executive director. “The proceeds from the flag football tournament really make a difference. Youth activities like tennis with Mr. Stu, SMART Girls and our teen hours are realities because of supporters like the Moorestown Charitable Works Club and everyone who steps up for the tournament.”
