The Philharmonic of Southern New Jersey continues to celebrate its 25th season with its Winter Concert, “Let’s Dance,” performing the lush melodies of Tchaikovsky, his “Swan Lake” Suite #20, and of Prokofiev, his “Romeo and Juliet” Suite #2, under the baton of Maestro Matthew Oberstein. These iconic scores bring to life the classical Russian Ballet, which showcased the leading Russian ballerinas of the time and live on in the world music repertoire; hear the wonderful harp cadenzas in “Swan Lake.”
Featuring dancers on stage, the orchestra invites you to join it for its Winter Concert on Feb. 28 with a pre-concert talk at 2 p.m. and concert at 3 p.m. You will think you are at the Bolshoi.
The final and Spring Concert will be on April 24, bringing you a powerful centennial “Tribute to Frank Sinatra.”
