Moorestown Fourth of July Parade calls for veterans

The Moorestown 4th of July Parade will take place on Monday, July 4 with a step-off time at noon. The Parade Committee wishes to invite the military veterans of Moorestown to participate in this celebration of our freedom.

The committee feels that the crowd will respond wonderfully to seeing a float and/or marching contingent of those heroes who guaranteed that freedom. It shows “team spirit” as well as giving the spectators a sense that the veterans “get it” in terms of Moorestown First.

So, if you did time in a combat zone or didn’t, wartime or peacetime, makes no difference to the committee. Please accept its invitation since it was you who raised your hand to serve this nation.

Assembly will be at the intersection of Central and Chester Avenues. Please arrive early enough to be counted and receive your place in the line-up. Also, please wear something that marks your veteran status such as a military ball cap, etc.
