Eighty students visited the district’s elementary schools to read children’s stories.
On Friday, March 3, Moorestown teachers Melissa Masi and Jackie V McGarrigle escorted 80 senior English students on a whirlwind tour of the district’s elementary schools. The classes visited South Valley, Roberts, and Baker Schools in order to provide Moorestown High School’s near graduates the opportunity to present children’s stories that they created to a real-world audience.
The seniors involved with the project wrote creative and colorful books and demonstrated maturity and poise while working with the younger children. The students at the elementary schools were inquisitive and excited to interact with the seniors, according to the district press release.
