MHS boasts five National Merit Scholarship Semifinalists

The 2018 National Merit Scholarship Program has named five Moorestown High School as Semifinalists.

Five Moorestown High School students have been named Semifinalists in the 2018 National Merit Scholarship Program. Andrew Seibel, Principal of Moorestown High School announced that seniors Andrew Chen, Anna Mui, Sundari Parise, Laura Tsai, and William Wang will continue in the competition for some ,500 National Merit Scholarships worth more than $32 million.

They are among 16,000 students named in the program for these awards. They must fulfill several requirements to advance to the Finalist level of the competition.

About 90 percent of the Semifinalists are expected to attain Finalist standing, and about half of the Finalists will win a National Merit Scholarship, earning the Merit Scholar title.
