The church will lead a weekly Lenten journey, based on a book written by the Dalai Lama and Archbishop Desmond Tutu
The Protestant Community Church (PCC) invites all to participate in their annual Lenten Soup Suppers. The supper series will be held at 100 Stokes Road in Medford Lakes, in the Todd Christian Education Building.
The first soup supper will be on Wednesday, Feb. 21, and continue weekly through March 21. The Reverend, Dr. Tim Meadows, will be leading a Lenten journey based on “The Book of Joy: Lasting Happiness in a Changing World,” written by two of the world’s most prominent religious leaders — the Dalai Lama and Archbishop Desmond Tutu.
You will find insightful their definition of the nature of true joy, the major obstacles in the human journey that block joy, and their offering of eight pillars in the human journey that can lead one to experience joy. You may discover how to make joy a reality in in your own life, and larger world. Soup supper starts at 6:30 p.m., followed by the Lenten journey at 7 p.m.
