Just in time for your kids to make a few extra bucks this summer, the Medford Recreation Department is offering a course to teach young kids a valuable skill.
Medford Township Department of Recreation offering a babysitting course for kids ages 11–15 years old.
This course, conducted by the American Red Cross, provides participants with the knowledge, skills and confidence to care for infants and school-age children.
Participants will learn to respond to emergencies and illnesses, make decisions under pressure, recognize safety issues, and care for infants.
Participants also will receive tips on professionalism, including communicating with parents and exercising good business practices.
This six-hour course will take place on Saturday, May 14 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Medford Memorial Middle School, which is located at 55 Mill St. Participants are asked to pack a brown bag lunch.
