LETTER: Mayor supports incumbent council members

It has been approximately 17 months since Jeff Beenstock, James ”Randy” Pace, and Chuck Watson took office on Medford Township Council.

All three men ran for office on a reform platform to change the way our township did business and to remove the outside political influences that had caused our beloved community so much financial instability and turmoil.

Having worked side-by-side with all three men for the past 17 months, I can state, unequivocally, that Jeff Beenstock, James “Randy” Pace and Chuck Watson are men of integrity and honor.

I am privileged to have such intelligent, hardworking and honest individuals as my colleagues on council.

Each of them has unselfishly, and with vision, made important decisions to improve our community.

I look forward to working with these men as we continue to steer Medford on a path to financial stability.

This year, as the Primary Election approaches, toxic political mailers are arriving at my house, reminding me of the way our town used to be run only a few short years ago.

There is no place for these types of personal attacks in a local election. Nor is there any reason for our community to return to the days when local candidates spend $100,000 on an election.

The enormity of such campaign expenditures by one candidate can mean only one thing: the outside influences that did so much damage to Medford just a few short years ago are trying to return and regain a political foothold in our community. Please don’t allow our hometown to fall back into the hands of those who are only motivated by power, greed and ambition.

Please come out and vote in the Primary on June 4 and join me in voting for Jeff Beenstock, James “Randy” Pace and Chuck Watson.
