Medford Police arrest three for drug possession outside of liquor store

The following information is provided by the Medford Township Police Department.

On Nov. 29, while conducting a Cops in Shops detail at 200 Tuckerton Road, Medford Police observed three subjects exit the liquor store at this location, all who appeared under the age of 21. Contact was made and police investigation revealed that the first suspect, a 21-year-old male, had four active criminal warrants for his arrest. A search incident to arrest revealed that he possessed two blue wax paper wraps containing suspected heroin in his front pocket.

The second suspect, a 22-year-old female also admitted that she possessed three blue wax paper wraps containing suspected heroin in her purse. The third suspect, a 22-year-old male, subsequently turned over a greenish, brown vegetation of suspected marijuana, which he retrieved from underneath the front passenger side seat of the vehicle that they were getting into.

All three suspects were taken into custody. The 21-year-old male and 22-year-old female were charged with possession of heroin. The 22-year-old male was charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams. The suspects were released on summonses, except for the 21-year-old male, who was transported and lodged at the Burlington County in default of bail.
