Burlington County to launch new website

Burlington County will be launching a redesigned and enhanced website that will significantly improve resident engagement and transparency.

“We have redesigned the county’s website to encourage resident interaction, increase government transparency, and to better inform our residents about all that the county has to offer,” said Freeholder Director Bruce Garganio. “The new site is anticipated to go live by Monday, June 2, at which time residents will be able to explore all of the newly available features.”

The new Burlington County website includes the following site enhancements:

  • Resident engagement: Users can access updated information about services and county functions and register for updated information on the site, receive RSS feeds, share with social media, sign up for news and calendar alerts and get notifications.
  • Mobile app: The website is now optimized for smartphones and tablets.
  • Increased transparency: More documents are online with increased visibility and are easily located.
  • Alert system: Now residents can be alerted to important messages and information easily by signing up for alerts and by a red alert beacon on the top of the webpage.
  • Improved structure and navigation: More spacious and colorful layout that includes an intuitive navigation with standardized menu structures.

“In building the new website, we sought to provide a better online experience for our residents,” Garganio said. “The new site was built with national best standards, top analytic tools and has an industry-leading look with streamlined navigation and more easily accessible content. All of which will make it significantly more user-friendly.”
