Medford artist named member of Allied Artists of America
By unanimous decision by the Board of Directors of The Allied Artists of America, Medford artist Jim Jackson has been invited to become an elected member in the category of oil painting. His recent work “Making the Break — Canvasbacks” was recently accepted into the organization’s 101st annual Juried Exhibition at the Salmagundi Club in New York. Membership is by invitation only. Candidates are selected on a limited basis from those participating in its National Annual Exhibition.
The Allied Artists of America was founded in New York City in 1914 and is comprised of artists and sculptors across the country. Its offices and exhibition galleries are both located in the elegant historical landmark, the National Arts Club in New York.
