On Saturday, Sept. 26, from Noon to 6 p.m., The Flying W Airport in Medford will be the transformed into a classic car and classic rock venue. “Cars’N’Guitars” is an event organized for the benefit of ASPCA, through the efforts of avid runner and animal lover Nicole De la Rosa, who was invited by ASPCA to run in the New York City Marathon this November on their behalf. Nicole will be part of a team whose goal is to raise money for ASPCA and to raise awareness of the plight of homeless and abused animals.
Cars’N’Guitars will feature a judged classic car show, six local bands and an impressive choice of raffle items, all for the purpose of raising the funds necessary for Nicole’s donation to the ASPCA on Marathon Day. There is no pre-registration for the car show. Car show registrants will pay a $15 cover charge, and non-car show registrants will pay a $10 cover charge. The Facebook event page is www.facebook.com/events/442228905944541/.
Come on out and support a great cause while enjoying beautiful cars and rockin’ music! This is a kid-friendly event, with kids under 15 having the opportunity to be car show judges.
