Submissions due to Rowan College at Burlington County Foundation’s ‘Startup Stars’ competition by Jan. 4
RCBC students and Burlington County high school students can win a cash prizes for their original business ideas.
Submissions for the Rowan College at Burlington County Foundation’s 2019 “Startup Stars” Competition are due by Friday, Jan. 4.
The competition allows RCBC students and Burlington County high school students to present their “uniquely original business ideas” for a chance to win a cash prize.
To enter the competition, students must register through the following link: http://rcbc.edu/startupstars/registration.
Submissions must be an original, authentic, feasible business idea.
Those selected as top finalists will be notified the week on Jan. 7.
Top finalists will then go on to compete to become the next “Startup Star” on Thursday, Jan. 31 at 6 p.m. in the Votta Hall Auditorium at RCBC.
Finalists from each student group will present their business plans to a panel of judges and a live audience.
The judges, who are business experts, will have an opportunity to provide useful feedback and will ask questions about the business plan.
The presentations may be supplemented by a slide deck (no more than five slides) or a demonstration.
The top finalists from each student group will compete for first, second and third place cash prizes and awards ($500, $250 and $100)
