School performance reports available for Evesham Township School District’s 2016–2017 school year
The state Department of Education has released its annual school performance reports, including those regarding the Evesham Township School District. The annual reports provide members of the public with an overview of data related to academics, attendance, student growth, student discipline, per pupil expenditures and other information collected from local schools across the state.
Evesham Township Police Department receives patriotic employer award
The Evesham Police Department has received the Employer Support of the Guard Reserve (ESGR) Award. The department is being recognized for it continued support to numerous National Guard and Reserve employees. The Evesham Police Department currently has six officers serving in the National Guard and Reserves.
Evesham Green Team to host showing of documentary film ‘Bag it’ at Evesham Library on Feb. 25
The Evesham Green Team is inviting residents to join the team for a showing of the documentary film “Bag It.” According to the team, the film follows “everyman” Jeb Berrier as he navigates today’s “plastic world.” Learn more at the event on Sunday, Feb. 25, from 1:30 to 3 p.m. at the Evesham Library.
Cherokee High School DECA students advance to State Career Development Conference
More than 100 Cherokee DECA students recently participated in the South Jersey DECA Regional Competition. Students competed against other local high school students by doing role plays in various areas of business. There were 33 of the Cherokee students who participated who qualified to attend the State Career Development Conference in February.
Cherokee High School hosting 18th annual Senior Citizen Valentine’s Ball on Feb. 11
Cherokee High School’s Student Council will host its 18th annual Senior Citizen Valentine’s Ball on Sunday, Feb. 11, from 2 to 5 p.m. in Cherokee’s South Cafeteria. This event is free for all senior citizens of Evesham Township.
