Evesham Police arrest duo allegedly trying to sell cocaine, heroin, crack-cocaine and ecstasy

Police say a recent investigation led to the arrest of two men from Beverly City and Sicklerville.

The following information is on file with the Evesham Township Police Department:

On June 14 at approximately 5 p.m., investigators assigned to the Evesham Police Narcotics Unit conducted a proactive investigation into the illegal sale of narcotics in Evesham Township.

Police say the investigation led to the arrest of two men from Beverly City and Sicklerville. According to police, Detectives conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 70 by Cropwell Road, inside the ETPD Data Driven Approach to Crime and Traffic Safety (DDACTS) Zone.

According to police, DDACTS integrates location-based crime and traffic data to establish effective and efficient methods for deploying law enforcement and other resources. Using geo-mapping to identify areas that have high incidences of crime and crashes, DDACTS uses traffic enforcement strategies that play a dual role in fighting crime and reducing crashes and traffic violations.

During the investigation, Evesham Police K-9 EZ was called upon to assist investigators with the detection of narcotics. K-9 EZ was walked around the exterior of the suspect’s vehicle, at which time she alerted officers to the alleged presence of narcotics inside the car. A subsequent search of the vehicle by officers allegedly resulted in the discovery cocaine, heroin, crack-cocaine, ecstasy and $2,300 in cash.

Arrested:

A male, age 25, of Sicklerville, was charged with third-degree distribution of cocaine and third-degree loitering to distribute heroin, crack-cocaine and powder cocaine. He was lodged in the Burlington County Jail with no bail.

A male, age 23, of Beverly, was charged with third-degree loitering to distribute ecstasy, heroin, crack-cocaine and powder cocaine. He was released on his own recognizance.
