Stop reading this and get out to the 2011 Annual Taste of Evesham event, which is ready to kick off today from 1 to 4 p.m. at Main Street in Marlton.
The annual event is an open-air culinary celebration with visitors sampling food from a number of vendors. The event will be held between Cooper Avenue and North Locust Avenue near the firehouse on Main Street.
Tickets can be purchased today at the event at the welcome booths at either end of Main Street and at Oak Lane. No parking will be available on Main Street, so visitors are encouraged to park off Route 70 Plaza 70 and Tri-Towne Plaza.
This year almost 20 local vendors and restaurants have signed up for the annual celebration of food. The vendors will provide visitors with samples of their specialties. Among the restaurants participating this year are Creations Catering, Mikado Japanese Sushi and Hibachi Steakhouse, Formica Bros. Bakery, Marlton Tavern and many more.
Beer and wine tickets will also be available for purchase at the Taste of Evesham event for visitors 21 and older.
