The Samaritan Center for Grief Support, a member of the Samaritan Family of Services, announces its October support group schedule.
“Grief is a natural, healthy and universal emotion. It helps us accept a loss and begin to heal. You don’t have to grieve alone,” said Kim Rumaker, Manager of the Samaritan Center for Grief Support.
The following support groups will be offered by the Samaritan Center for Grief Support staff starting Oct. 11:
The Grieving Heart — For adults grieving the loss of a family member or friend
· One Session
· Saturday, Oct. 11
· 2–3:30 p.m.
· Virtua Memorial in Mt. Holly — 175 Madison Ave, Mt Holly
Understanding Grief (No charge — One session)
An Overview of the Grief Process
· One Session
· Thursday, Oct. 30
· 6–7:30 p.m.
· Marlton — 5 Eves Drive, Marlton
Sharing in Grief and Hope ($30 — Six sessions)
For anyone who has lost a family member or friend
· Six Sessions
· Sessions Starting Wednesday, Oct. 22
· 6–7:30 p.m.
· South County Regional Library — 35 Cooper Folly Road, Atco
Samaritan’s grief support groups are open to anyone in the community, but registration is required at (856) 596–8550. Other Center services include grief counseling for adults and children and PTSD services for active military and veterans.
