YMCA of Burlington and Camden Counties announces new fall programs

Now through Sept. 30, the YMCA of Burlington and Camden Counties is offering low introductory membership rates.

Families can join the Y for $50 per month and individuals can join for as low as $35 — plus no joiner fee.

Facility memberships offer unlimited access to both Y facilities, as well as wellness centers, open gym time, lap and recreational swimming and free babysitting.

Facility members also enjoy more than 145 free group exercise classes and 30 free water exercise classes, priority registration, reduced fees for programs and classes and guest privileges.

With the new family friendly schedules, parents and kids can enjoy classes at the same time.

Additionally, the YMCA recently announced a new line-up of fun and inspiring programs for the fall session, which runs from Sept. 14 through Nov. 1, to help members of all ages achieve their health and wellness goals.

New Youth Programs include:

1/2 Ballet & 1/2 Jazz: Children ages 5 to 12 will learn ballet and jazz technique skills at both the Burlington-Riverfront and Mt. Laurel YMCAs.

1/2 Ballet & 1/2 Jazz at the Burlington-Riverfront Y for children ages 5 to 7 will take place on Mondays from 6:20 to 7:20 p.m. and for children ages 8 to 12 on Saturdays from noon to 1 p.m.

1/2 Ballet & 1/2 Jazz at the Mt. Laurel Y for children ages 6 to 8 will take place on Thursdays from 4 to 4:55 p.m. and for children ages 9 to 12 on Mondays from 4:20 to 5:20 p.m.

Cost for this class at the Burlington-Riverfront YMCA is $44 for facility members, $66 for program members and $88 for non-program members for a 7 week course. Cost for this class at the Mt. Laurel YMCA is $102 for facility members, $204 for program members and $255 for non-program members for a 14 week course.

-Kid Zumba: Children at the Burlington-Riverfront YMCA can enjoy a fun cardio dance workout.

For children ages 6 to 9, Kid Zumba takes place on Tuesdays from 5:20 to 6:05 p.m. and for children ages 10 to 12 on Wednesdays from 6:30 to 7:15 p.m.

Cost for this class is $44 for facility members, $66 for program members and $88 for non-program members.

Girls on the Run: This program at the Mt. Laurel YMCA, led by certified instructors, is a running program that builds up to an organized 5K race in Philadelphia on Dec. 5 put on through the Girls on the Run Organization. This is a two-day program for children ages 8 to 12 on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:20 to 5:35 p.m.

Children must attend both sessions each week.

Cost is $250 for facility members, $384 for program members and $450 for non-program members.

Price includes a $120 registration fee, which pays for materials that the girls will receive throughout the course of the class.

Musical Theatre: Children ages 8–12 will learn basics of vocal performance as well as choreographed movements and acting.

Classes will be offered on Saturdays from 11:20 to 12:15 p.m. at the Mt. Laurel YMCA.

Cost is $44 for facility members, $88 for program members and $110 for non-program members.

Tap Dance: Children can enjoy the tap dance basics of rhythm, style and sound at both the Burlington-Riverfront and Mt. Laurel YMCAs.

This program, for children ages 8 to 12 will take place at the Burlington-Riverfront YMCA on Tuesdays from 6:20 to 7:05 p.m. and on Saturdays from 12:20 to 1:05 p.m. at the Mt. Laurel YMCA.

Cost for this class at the Burlington-Riverfront YMCA is $44 for facility members, $66 for program members and $88 for non-program members.

Tiny Tumblers: Learn gymnastics through group activities and obstacle courses. This class, for children ages 3 to 4 takes place on Thursdays from 5:20 to 6:05 p.m. at the Burlington-Riverfront YMCA.

Cost for this class is $84 for facility members, $126 for program members and $168 for non-program members.

Parent/Child Mini Movers: Parent/Child Mini Movers will enhance a child’s physical capabilities while preparing them for independent classes.

Children will have fun and learn gymnastics with their parent in a safe place. This class, for walking toddlers to age 2 and their parents takes place on Saturdays from 9:50 to 10:35 a.m. at the Burlington-Riverfront YMCA.

Cost for this class is $44 for facility members, $66 for program members and $88 for non-program members.

Kindergymers: Learn beginner skills on gymnastics apparatus. This class, for ages 5 to 6 takes place on Thursdays from 6:20 to 7:05 p.m. at the Burlington-Riverfront YMCA.

Cost for this class is $84 for facility members, $126 for program members and $168 for non-program members.

Winners Basketball: Learn hoop skills, team play and scrimmages at the Burlington-Riverfront YMCA.

This class, for children ages 7 to 9 will take place on Saturdays from 10:45 to 11:30 a.m. and for children ages 10 to 12, on Saturdays from 11: 45 to 12:30 p.m. Cost for this class is $44 for facility members, $66 for program members and $88 for non-program members.

Homeschool Multi-Sport: Play a different sport every week and learn a variety of skills at the Mt. Laurel YMCA. This program, for homeschooled children ages 6 to 12, will take place on Tuesday from 12:20–1:05p.m. and Wednesdays from 12:20 to 1:05 p.m. Cost is $44 for facility members, $88 for program members and $110 for non-program members.
