The following report is on file with the Evesham Police Department:
On July 27 at 6 p.m., Evesham Police plain-clothes detectives were continuing their investigation into a spree of car break-ins when they stopped a suspicious vehicle on Heritage Road. During the investigation Evesham Police K-9 EZ was called upon to assist with the detection of narcotics. K-9 EZ was walked around the exterior of the suspect’s vehicle at which time he alerted officers to the presence of narcotics inside the car. A subsequent search of the vehicle by detectives resulted in the discovery of 33 bags of heroin and hypodermic needles.
Arrested:
A male, age 25, of Marlton, was charged with third degree possession with intent to distribute heroin and a disorderly persons offense for possession of hypodermic needles and drug paraphernalia. He was lodged in the Burlington County Jail in default of $5,000.
A male, age 24, of Marlton, was charged with third degree possession of heroin. He was released on his own recognizance.
