Evesham Police on foot patrol arrest two for cocaine possession

On Aug. 19 at 11 p.m., officers assigned to the department’s Proactive Unit were conducting a foot patrol in the area of Heritage Development when they observed suspicious activity in front of a home in the unit block of Bettlewood Road.

During the investigation Evesham Police K-9 EZ was called upon to assist officers with the detection of narcotics. K-9 EZ was walked around the exterior of the suspect’s vehicle at which time he alerted officers to the presence of narcotics inside the car. A subsequent search of the vehicle by officers resulted in the discovery of cocaine and hypodermic needles.

Arrested:

A man, age 26, of Marlton, was charged with third-degree possession of cocaine and a disorderly persons offense for possession of a hypodermic Needle. He was released after posting bail.

A male, age 33, of Williamstown, was charged with third-degree possession of cocaine and a disorderly persons offense for possession of a hypodermic needle. He was released on his own recognizance.
