The Evesham Library has a whole host of holiday themed events to keep residents entertained this holiday season.
The Evesham Library has a whole host of holiday themed events to keep residents entertained this holiday season.
· Starting on Dec. 12 and lasting through the week until Dec. 16 the library will hold a “Gingerbread Make and Take Craft” event. All ages are invited to drop in anytime during those days to make a gingerbread boy or girl craft in the youth services area. All supplies will be provided, and no registration will be required.
· Also on Dec. 12 the library will have a “Holiday Make and Take Craft” event. From 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. kids of all ages can put their imagination to work and join the library for some fun and creativity with holiday crafts. All supplies will be provided, and no registration will be required.
· On Dec. 15 the library will host a “Tree of Life Pendant Craft” event for teens. Those teens ages 14 to 18 can join the library in making a Tree of Life pendant for use as a necklace or on a keychain. The craft will be winter-inspired, and can have snowy branches or be modeled after the red and green of a holly tree. Those interested can register at www.bcls.lib.nj.us.
· Then from Dec. 19 through Dec. 24, and again from Dec. 27 through Dec. 31, the library will host a holiday scavenger hunt for kids of all ages. Those interested can
· drop in any time and search the Youth Services department for holiday pictures. Those who figure out which one is missing and turn in their sheet will have a chance to win a prize. No registration is required.
· Also on Dec. 19 is a Holiday Story Time event at 10:30 a.m. Ages 3 to 6 can join the library for a holiday story time full of seasonal fun, lots of movement, and a gingerbread craft. Those interested can register at www.bcls.lib.nj.us.
· Adults will also have a chance for fun on Dec. 19 at 6:30 p.m. with a Gingerbread House making event. Adults can join the library for a fun, relaxing evening of gingerbread house building and decorating. Visitors can make their very own delicious centerpiece, just in time for the holidays. All supplies provided. Those interested can register at www.bcls.lib.nj.us.
· Teens with special needs will also have a chance to get in on some holiday fun with a Cookie Decorating event on Dec. 20 at 6:30 p.m. Those ages 12 to 19 can join the library for a Gingerbread Cookie Decorating class just and celebrate the season by decorating gingerbread men cookies. Fun decorating supplies will be provided. Caregivers are required to stay, if needed. All abilities welcome. Those interested can register at www.bcls.lib.nj.us and are asked to list any allergies.
