Evesham police say fingerprints link Camden Man to residential burglary from July

An investigating officer lifted possible suspect fingerprints from a home burglary several months ago. Those prints were found to match a man from Camden.

On July 1, the Evesham Police Department investigated a home burglary in the 500 block of N. Elmwood Road. The homeowners returned home that day and found that an unknown suspect had entered their home by breaking a rear first floor window. Once inside, the burglar targeted electronics and jewelry.

An investigating officer located and lifted possible suspect fingerprints from the home. Those prints were processed and submitted to the New Jersey State Police Fingerprint and Identification Unit. On Jan. 24, those prints were found to match Anthony Thomas of Camden. With the assistance of the Camden County Metro Police Department, Evesham Police say the suspect was located and arrested on Feb. 1.

Arrested:

Anthony Thomas, age 47, of Camden, was charged with third-degree burglary and third-degree theft. He was lodged in the Burlington County Jail with no bail.
