Burlington County Library to screen ‘Screenagers: Growing up in the digital age’ on May 7

The Burlington County Library will present a documentary that reveals how tech time impacts the development of kids

The Burlington County Library will present a documentary that reveals how tech time impacts the development of kids while offering practical resources for empowering them to best navigate the digital world on Sunday, May 7 at 1:30 p.m. at the Burlington County Library auditorium in Westampton.

According to the library, “Screenagers: Growing Up in the Digital Age” is geared for tweens, teens, parents and educators. Tickets, which cost $5 each, may be purchased at the door, and in advance at www.impactflow.com/event/presented-by-burlington-county-library-2043.

To date, there have been more than 2,000 community and school screenings of “Screenagers,” which is not available for home viewing.

The documentary has been featured on PBS NewsHour, Good Morning American and The Dr. Oz Show, and has been highlighted in in the New York Times and other publications.

According to the library, filmmaker Delaney Ruston, who is also a primary care physician, decided to make “SCREENAGERS” because she believed deeply in the importance of helping kids find balance in a tech-filled world.

According to the library, “Screenagers” is appropriate for adults and kids ages 10 and up.
