Officers were dispatched to the area of Barton Run Boulevard for a vehicle being operated in an erratic manner on the morning of May 21.
The following information is on file with the Evesham Township Police Department:
On May 21 at 8:30 a.m., officers were dispatched to the area of Barton Run Boulevard for a report of a vehicle being operated in an erratic manner.
An officer located the vehicle and conducted a motor vehicle stop on Barton Run Boulevard.
During the investigation Evesham Police K-9 Ciko was called upon to assist officers with the detection of narcotics.
According to police, the K-9 was walked around the exterior of the suspect’s vehicle, at which time the K-9 alerted officers to the presence of narcotics inside the car.
Police say a subsequent search of the vehicle by officers resulted in the discovery of heroin, drug paraphernalia and a hypodermic syringe inside the vehicle.
Arrested:
A male, age 30, of Marlton, was charged with third-degree possession of heroin and a disorderly persons offense for possession drug paraphernalia and syringes.
According to police, the male was lodged in the Burlington County Bail with no bail.
