A weeklong celebration of creativity and innovation, “Outside the Lines” will run from Sept. 10 to Sept. 16.
This September, the Burlington County Library System is stepping “outside the lines” as it joins a global initiative designed to get people thinking and talking about libraries in a new way.
A weeklong celebration of creativity and innovation, “Outside the Lines” will run from Sept. 10 to Sept. 16.
Throughout the week, libraries from around the world will host events to help demonstrate how they have evolved into centers for engagement, making them more relevant.

“We’re excited to join in this initiative that highlights how libraries have transformed to meet the growing needs of our communities,” BCLS Director Ranjna Das said. “Today’s libraries are dynamic community hubs that help everyone to be their best, and we look forward to showcasing all that BCLS has to offer.”
During the “Outside the Lines” celebration, the county’s libraries will reconnect with residents inside its buildings, as well as outside in the communities they serve. The goal is to reintroduce the libraries to the public and have people see them in a brand new light.
