Redeveloper proposes to move Harvest House closer to Main Street and build new apartments
Evesham Township Council has approved redeveloper Marlton MJ Associates, LLC for a proposed complex of 51 new apartments along Main Street at the property that encompasses the historic structure commonly known as the Harvest House. Plans for the project include keeping the historic portion of the Harvest House moving the building onto a new foundation about 120 feet closer to Main Street’s sidewalk.
Man allegedly ingests several bags of heroin prior to arrest by Evesham Police

On Sept. 8, members of the Evesham Police Investigative and Proactive Unit conducted a proactive narcotics investigation into the illegal sale of heroin in Evesham Township. The investigation led to the arrest of a Pennsauken and Camden male involved in the distribution of Heroin in Evesham. During the investigation, in an attempt to destroy drug evidence, police say one of the subjects is suspected of allegedly ingesting several bags of heroin prior to being arrested.
Evesham Township officials review park improvements from recent years
At this week’s Evesham Township Council meeting, council received an overview of what the township has been doing to improve its existing parks and playgrounds since 2010. That was the year Burlington County launched its Municipal Park Development Grant Program, which sees the county earmark millions each year from a preservation trust fund to assist municipalities with projects related to parks and recreation.

Lenape Regional High School District to host ‘Health & Wellness Fair’ on Oct. 9
The Lenape Regional High School District invites area businesses, organizations and professionals in the health and wellness fields to participate in the district’s Health and Wellness Fair on Oct. 9 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Cherokee High School. According to the district, the district is organizing the Health Fair as part of a full day in-service for all certified staff members to coincide with the theme of this academic year, #LRHSDBetterU.
