One woman injured in Route 70 hit and run

According to Cherry Hill Police, earlier today, two pedestrians, Binh Tsan, 25 and Michael Medina, 25, attempted to cross the westbound lanes of Rt. 70 at Ranaldo Terrace from the grass median after vehicular traffic in both westbound lanes were stopped due to congestion.

As the female pedestrian stepped into the westbound shoulder area, she was struck by a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed in the westbound shoulder lane. The male pedestrian was slightly grazed by the same vehicle, but was not injured. The female victim was transported to Cooper Trauma and was listed in critical condition at the time of this report.

According to several witnesses, the vehicle that struck both pedestrians did not make any attempt to stop after the impact and continued to pass all the stopped vehicles as it traveled along the westbound shoulder lane until it was out of sight.

The hit and run vehicle was described as silver or light gold in color, possibly a Pontiac Grand Prix or similar, with tinted windows.

Anyone with possible vehicle information is urged to contact the CH Police Traffic Safety Unit at 488–7820.
