No injuries from road rage incident

The following incident was taken from a report on file with the Cherry Hill Police Department.

On Friday, July 27 a verbal confrontation occurred between two motorists while in the area of North Kings Highway and Chapel Avenue because of a previous motor vehicle incident that had occurred.

The verbal confrontation continued on the lot of a local business and as they drove into a nearby neighborhood with one motorist following the other. While in the neighborhood the situation escalated and the victim confronted the motorist who in turn fired one shot from his vehicle into the victim’s vehicle.

No one was injured and both parties left the scene. The victim went back to his residence and contacted police and follow up investigation identified the motorist. Police responded to the motorist’s residence and he was arrested without further incident.

The weapon was later recovered and a round was removed from the victim’s vehicle. The motorist was charged with two counts of aggravated assault and numerous weapons offenses.
