Even more than hunting and a vacation to Jamaica, 49 year-old Paul of Cherry Hill loves his family.
A father of three and happily married husband of 27 years, not even a June 2011 diagnosis of Acute Myeloid Leukemia or grueling chemotherapy could prevent him from dancing with his daughter at her October wedding. One month later, they thought his cancer was in remission for good.Devastatingly, Paul’s leukemia returned in February, and now he needs a bone marrow transplant to save his life. To find a match for Paul and others, his friends and family are holding a donor drive and asking for others to register as bone marrow donors.
“Paul was raised in Merchantville and has spent his whole life in Cherry Hill. Now he needs the community more than ever. Please Get Swabbed,” said his wife Linda.

“I lost my mother to leukemia when I was 14,” stated Katharina Harf, COO, DKMS Americas. “And I have made it my mission to recruit more donors so that other families don’t have to go through the pain we did. We need your help so we can save more lives.”
Registering to become a bone marrow donor is more than a cheek swab; it is a commitment to help save a life. You must be between 18 and 55 and in good general health.

Registering one potential bone marrow donor costs DKMS $65. Because DKMS does not require new donors to pay the registration fee and does not receive government funding, DKMS must rely on donations from the general public to fund donor registrations.
