Ed Hutchinson, president of Hutchinson Mechanical Services, was recently selected to participate in the Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst (JB MDL) Honorary Commanders Program.
The Honorary Commanders Program facilitates communication between the surrounding communities and military personnel by showcasing joint base capabilities, future leaders and the caliber of men and women serving at JBÂ MDL.
Participants in the Honorary Commanders Program are selected for a one-year term based on their record of service to the community and professional excellence. Honorary Commanders are teamed with a JB MDL commander with access to the base throughout their tenure, attend official functions and participate in military operations. Hutchinson will be paired up with Maj. A.J. Griffin, commander of the 605th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron (Air Force).
An active member of the community, Hutchinson serves on the Board of Governors of the YMCA of Burlington and Camden Counties, The Joseph Fund, Camden, and the Southern New Jersey Development Council.
