Broadway Live show to benefit The JCC Camps at Medford scheduled for May 12

The magical voices and talent of Broadway stars return to the Katz JCC stage for the fifth annual production of Broadway Live on Monday, May 12 at 7 p.m. This benefit concert supports The JCC Camps at Medford, raises funds to provide financial assistance to camp families and also supports the Open Hearts/Open Doors program for special needs campers. The Raymond and Gertrude Saltzman Foundation will match the total proceeds raised on a seven-to-one basis, and a portion of the evening’s proceeds will be donated to the Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS organization.

Returning to headline and produce Broadway Live is Ben Lipitz, a Cherry Hill native and former JCC Camps at Medford camper and staff member. Lipitz, who currently plays Pumbaa in the national tour of Disney’s The Lion King, has recruited an incredibly talented roster of professional Broadway actors to share their love of theatre.

“It’s an honor to return and produce the fifth inception of Broadway Live with this community,” said Lipitz. “In addition to providing a wonderful evening of incredible talent with the audience, it gives us great satisfaction to know that we give back locally to children who attend the JCC Camps at Medford, as well as on a national level through Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.”

General admission, student and patron tickets are available for purchase by visiting www.katzjcc.org or contact Pam Parker at [email protected] or (856) 424–4444 ext. 1238. For more information, please contact Aaron Greenberg at (856) 424–4444 ext. 1239 or [email protected].
