The New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association recently honored 10 Camden County high school students for their achievements as scholar-athletes.
The students were invited to attend the annual Scholar-Athlete Luncheon, where –they had the chance to enter a random drawing and win a college scholarship from one of multiple sponsors.
Madeline Berman from Cherry Hill High School East was selected by here school to attend the luncheon.
Administrators at each NJSIAA member high school have the opportunity to select one senior student as their scholar-athlete of the year. The scholarships are donated by NJSIAA corporate sponsors and other organizations supportive of high school sports in New Jersey. While some scholarships are only available to students attending schools in specific counties or participating in specific sports, most are offered statewide to students in all sports. There is a limit of one scholarship per student athlete.
